    1. Collection.

All leaf/yard material (LY material) is tipped in a designated area at the site loose (no bags). All loads tipped at site are initially inspected by scale operator and then by loader operator. Any contaminate seen would be removed from tipping area. The LY material is segregated from all other areas at the site.

  • Machines processing to make compost

    2. Processing.

The windrows are turned frequently using a dedicated front-end loader (for just handling LY material) to maintain aeration and maturation. While the material is curing, time & temperature data is monitored, to verify that temperatures are reached for proper decomposition, weed seed destruction, pathogen reduction pathogen destruction (PFRP) etc. Once the material is cured, the leaf/yard windrow is screened and stockpiled in final product area. The final product is moved to this area using machinery that are dedicated for the LY material.
